Gadget Show Live

We returned to the prestigious Gadget Show Live this weekend to provide core infrastructure, screens and video production. We were live at the NEC until Sunday with an audience of around 75,000 visitors.

Here are the areas we worked on:

  • Arcade Stage
  • Drone Zone
  • Robo Zone
  • Super Theatre
  • Super Theatre Entrance Tunnel
  • Competition Area

We used 3.1mm 3.9mm, TZ8 and LL18 LED panels to build the visually stunning screens for the audience, along with a variety of video production kit including Sony 750s, EX3s and Atem HD Vision Mixers.

The Competition Zone is a key feature in the Arcade with 4 sections, each hosting a mini challenge. Fonix were chosen to supply the truss and crew to the Competition Zone and staging, video production and a high resolution LED screen for the Arcade Stage. Here’s what our client had to say about the event:

“I worked with Fonix on the Arcade and Competition Area at Gadget Show Live 2016 and the team were great so pass on my thanks, with a special shout out to Fleur! Each area was complemented by Fonix’s crew and their ongoing support and expertise. The team went above and beyond to ensure that everything went smoothly and the audience were engaged.”

Here’s what Gadget Show reporter, Yue, had to say about the team:

“This 20m square super stage is the centrepiece to our show. It’s connected using over 9 mile of cables. It’s home to one of Europe’s largest LED screens, allowing our audience to see the finer details of the performance. It’s all controlled from a central hub backstage. With ten years’ experience, audio-visual specialists Fonix are the team for the job.”
